The $7.5M in the state operating budget for childcare provider wages is a massive win for the sector! The CCPO wants to hear from you about how to best get these funds out the door quickly.
Please consider sending a brief message to the CCPO and DOH Commissioner's offices (heidi.hedberg@alaska.gov and ccpo@alaska.gov )
Express the urgency of getting these funds out to providers quickly.
If you want the funds to go out through the CCG program as we had been advocating for, your message could specify that you would like to see an expedited regulation change process to remove the funding cap and CCAP requirements from the CCG program so it can be used to get the funds out to providers.
If you prefer to see the funds go out more like they did with the last 3 phases of pandemic relief funding through thread, you could mention that.
